Do you watch the same entertainment on land as you do when travelling in a plane?

Recent research conducted by Spafax, a leading provider of travel entertainment solutions, found our entertainment choices are often different when flying.

Its research found that most passengers are looking for laughter when travelling, tuning to comedy films 52 percent of the time.

Action has proven to be the next most popular genre – the favourite of 24 percent of passengers.

The research was based on feedback from passengers of 11 premium world airlines.

This included Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Virgin Atlantic, Cathay Pacific, Qatar, Qantas, BA, Lufthansa, Air Canada and KLM.

It found that passengers opt to watch movies 40 percent of the time, choosing television shows only 7 percent of the time.

Most passengers (83 percent) agreed that films are an important part of the inflight entertainment product.
