Dalene Wray, Managing Director of OBE Organic, has won this year’s Chief Executive Women (CEW) Austrade Women in Export Scholarship.
OBE Organic is an Australian company specialising in organic beef. It has pioneered sustainability and disease management programs, aimed at boosting farmer productivity, improving animal health and welfare and reducing supply chain waste.
Trade Minister Steven Ciobo said OBE Organic exemplifies an Australian business using innovation to improve its products and connect with customers around the world.
Ms Wray will attend Harvard Business School’s Disruptive Innovation – Strategies for a Successful Enterprise course in Boston, Massachusetts, next month.
The Scholarship, offered in partnership between Austrade and CEW, supports women leaders in advancing their careers.
Mr Ciobo said the government is committed to supporting female entrepreneurs and innovation that grows demand for Australia’s premium quality goods and services in overseas markets.
