The Links Group, which specialises in assisting companies and individuals keen to establish a commercial presence in the UAE and Qatar, has received an award for its work with government agencies in Dubai.
The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) has recognized the group for its strategic partnership with the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI).
The Links Group received the accolade from His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Department of Economic Development at DED’s 2015 Partners Forum, held at Burj Al Arab Hotel earlier this month.
The event sought to highlight collaborations of excellence between Dubai’s public and private sectors.
Established in 2002, The Links Group works closely with government partners to help foreign companies cut through red tape and expedite the administrative process.
It is the first company of its kind to be endorsed by Dubai FDI, working with the agency to facilitate inbound and outbound trade and investment flows in the UAE.
The firm now has more than 300 registered companies in its portfolio, representing combined annual revenues of over US$3 billion to their respective economies.
The Links Group is a Dubai SME 100 company, a ranking of the top performing SMEs in the emirate, and an Arabian 500 company.
Demand from Australian companies
Last year The Links Group recorded double digit growth in business for the 12th consecutive year, largely from its strategy to target companies in their home markets.
With Australia strengthening its economic strategic ties with the Middle East, The Links Group says demand from Australian companies to set up a regional hub in the UAE is rising.
The company’s sound corporate governance and unique corporate nominee partner structure have also helped it attract large multinationals to the UAE.
Mr Simon Hobart, Group General Manager of The Links Group, who accepted the award said: “To be recognised by Dubai DED as one their strategic partners is a true honour for The Links Group.
“It is a testament to our continued combined efforts to make doing business in the region easier.”
Mr Hobart thanked his staff for their dedication to excellence and Dubai FDI “for the confidence they’ve placed in us to support trade and investment in the Emirate.”
