“This project aimed to provoke discussion,” explains Ellison. His client, a businessman from Connecticut, entrusted him with complete artistic liberty. The request? To create something unapologetically audacious.

In contrast to their previous collaboration—a classic Nantucket getaway filled with whites, creams, and soothing coastal hues—this Manhattan retreat takes a bold turn. Picture dark tones, striking contrasts, and elements that tease the edge of danger.
