Australia Minister for Agriculture Tony Burke will meet with US officials this week, to discuss trade market access, food security and climate change. Burke is expected to raise Australia's objection to the recent US dairy export subsidies introduced earlier this year. A statement from the ministry indicated he would "personally lodge Australia's objection to the administration's decision to reintroduce dairy subsidies". He will also address the recent climate change bill, which has already passed through the US House of Representatives.
