Results of global travel publication Travel + Leisure's reader survey reveal that Australian and New Zealand travel operators have not gone unnoticed. Two New Zealand hotels, The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs and The Farm At Cape Kidnappers, came in the top 25 of hotels worldwide, while Air New Zealand was named among the top 10 international airlines. Australian cities Sydney and Melbourne figured prominently in the Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific category, taking the top two positions respectively in the cities segment. The Observatory Hotel and Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney, and Crown Towers and The Langham in Melbourne were named in the top five city hotels. Sydney's ranking among cities worldwide fell outside the top 10 for the first time, but still reached number 11. No other Australasian city made it into the top 20. The magazine's World’s Best Awards included votes from readers of the US publication and its six international editions in Australia/New Zealand, China, India, South East Asia, Turkey and Mexico.
