Trade mission targets digital China

A trade mission to Shanghai, China, led by the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) in partnership with Austrade is scheduled to go ahead in late July this year.
Also supported by the Committee of Marketing ICT for Australia (CoMICTA, comprising representatives of State and Territory governments and ICT industry associations), the mission is designed to provide networking and business partnering opportunities with potential customers, including a site visit to Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park and attendance at the 8th China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy).
ChinaJoy boasts nearly 200 exhibitors, 150,000 visitors and thousands of media, highlighting the importance of the ChinaJoy annual digital industry event. The expo will also host several professional and industry-oriented forums to discuss the new trends in industrial development and to facilitate business partnering opportunities.
The mission program will also include a visit to the Shanghai World Expo 2010, where delegates can take part in a networking event which will form part of the Australian Pavilion’s Business Program.
Digital content, applications and services providers in the entertainment, mobile, animation, and games sectors are encouraged to join.
