The countdown is on to the 54th Premier’s NSW Export Awards and Western Australian Industry and Export Awards 2016 to recognise the state’s top exporters from all industries.
The NSW Export Awards will be held at The Star, Sydney on October 26 and the WA Industry and Export Awards will be held at Crown Perth on October 28.
Hosted by the Export Council of Australia, the awards aim to recognise the talent and innovative spirit of the top exporters in both states and the important role they play in boosting the economy.
Winners of the 12 NSW industry categories automatically progress as national finalists to the Australian Export Awards to be held in Brisbane on November 24.
NSW Premier Mike Baird will deliver the key note address at the NSW Awards, with special guests to include NSW Minister for Trade Stuart Ayres.
WA Commerce Minister Michael Mischin commended the WA finalists' ingenuity and initiative across a broad range of categories recognising excellence in the international market and industry.
Mr Mischin said the awards showcased the outstanding success of Western Australian businesses in areas including digital technologies, environmental solutions, agribusiness and manufacturing.
Creating local jobs
