New executive group announced for Austrade
Austrade has appointed a new senior executive group to lead their trade, investment and international education efforts, chief executive Peter Grey has announced.
The executive group includes Laurie Smith as Executive Director of International Operations, Tim Beresford as Executive Director of Australian Operations, and Peter Yuile as Executive Director of Education and Corporate.
“The new Senior Executive combines strong skills and experience in business, along with a strong background in government,” Grey said.
The changes were implemented in response to the Review of Austrade’s operations earlier this year. Announced by Trade Minister Craig Emerson, the Review recommended a new streamlined structure with a smaller executive group and clearer lines of responsibilities.
The new group will report to the Austrade CEO from 1 October.
