Melbourne to host Asia-Pacific ICT community
The annual Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) will be held in Melbourne this year. The awards have be developed to increase community ICT awareness and connect the digital divide in its 16 members’ economies.
Bonnie Shek, director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Australia and New Zealand Office said APICTA was always a good time of year to showcase ICT innovation.
She urges businesses interested in Hong Kong and China to attend the APICTA 2009 Hong Kong Reception on December 126 at Melbourne’s Crown Towers, co-hosted with the Hong Kong Computer Society: “For thousands of international firms, Hong Kong is Asia’s unrivalled ICT centre. With a regional appeal underpinned by world class infrastructure and business services, Hong Kong offers a skilled and creative local ICT sector; and a unique economic relationship with the Chinese mainland.”
Through networking and product benchmarking, APICTA stimulates innovation and creativity, promotes trade, enhances economic relations, facilitate technology transfer and offers business matching opportunities.
For more details on the reception, please contact Peter Bosevski, HKTDC marketing manager, on (02) 9261 8911 or at peter.bosevski@hktdc.org.
