Future Leaders in Export to go national

The Australian Institute of Export’s Future Leaders in Export (FLEx) program is scheduled to go national in 2010. The community network is designed for anyone involved in international business, but has a particular focus on fostering young and emerging exporters.

FLEx provides an open forum for exporters and importers alike to get together and discuss issues in small groups on topics subjects relating to trade, with their peer group and experienced professionals. Industry experts are on hand to share their knowledge and experience on issues.

Launched in Victoria earlier this year, the institute wants to roll out the club concept throughout Australia, with themed consultations to be held on a monthly basis.

The AIEx has also launched a FLEx award to reward one young exporter for their outstanding achievement in the development and management of export sales and profit success. The winner will receive a $4,000 Export Scholarship to undertake the Graduate Certificate in International Business and a one-year AIEx business membership.

Find out more about the FLEx club at the AIEx website.
