Exporters combine refined tastes for China

Regional export leaders Elders and family brand Pendleton Fine Foods will join forces to grow the niche fine food market in China.

South Australian Pendleton will sell their signature olive oil and other wares through Elders Fine Foods, leveraging Elders’ five-decade relationship with the Chinese market.

The Elders Fine Foods brand is designed to move beyond rural commodities into the value-added food produce sector. The export partnership also takes advantage of the growth in the Chinese olive oil market, reported to be 70 percent a year.

“Pendleton’s olive oil and other produce is a great match to complement our high quality Australian and New Zealand beef, lamb and wines, assisting overall sales,” said Elders Fine Foods general manager Craig Aldous.
