Economy lifts on the back of higher freight volumes
According to statistics compiled by MariTrade, the Australian economy currently surpasses its global counterparts with regard to the movement of freight. Both import and export airfreight have shown an upward trend in the last few months compared to drops in other nations.
Exports of perishable goods have boosted export freight volumes, while high-value imports have done the same for inbound cargo.
Melbourne Airport remains the port that sees the highest amount of exports.
