CBA supports small business exporters

The Commonwealth Bank has renewed its sponsorship of the Small to Medium Manufacturers category in the forthcoming Australian Export Awards, the 22nd year the bank has supported the awards.

“We are proud to be associated with an awards program and in particular the SME category that recognises Australian companies dedicated to creating innovative products and services and taking them into offshore markets,” said Stephen Holden, general manager for the bank’s Working Capital Finance division.

The Australia Exports Awards are run by Austrade, and co-hosted by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“More than two decades of sponsorship confirms that the bank understands the importance of recognising Australia’s outstanding exporters,” remarked Peter O’Byrne, Austrade CEO.

“There is a great deal of prestige associated with being an Australian Export Award winner.  It is a valuable marketing tool for realising new business and export opportunities. I encourage companies, large or small, with a great exporting story, to enter.”

For more details about the awards, or to enter, see the Australian Export Awards website.
