Australia’s finance sector tops Asia-Pacific
Australia has the most efficient and competitive financial sector in the Asia-Pacific region, according to a report by the Australian Financial Centre Forum.
The recently released Australia as a Financial Centre report, commissioned by the Federal Government, shows that as an open, well-regulated and stable economy, Australia has many comparative advantages in the region.
Head of Financial Services for Austrade, Gary Johnston, said that the Australian financial sector has a highly skilled workforce and a first class regulatory framework; “This has served us well during the recent global financial crisis.”
