Australian banking enters top 10
The Australian private banking industry is the 10th largest private banking market in the world, according to the latest data in the 2010 World Wealth Report, released by Capgemini and Merrill Lynch.
At the end of 2009, Australia’s private banking industry entered the top 10 of the world’s largest private banking markets, up from 11th place in 2008.
According to Austrade, the private banking industry in Australia has benefited from almost 20 years of sustained economic growth to become the third largest private wealth market in the Asia-Pacific and the 10th largest in the world.
