Marine Export Awards announced
Winners of the 2012 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards were announced at the AIMEX and Club Marine annual networking event.
West Australian company VEEM Limited were announced as the winners of the top prize, Exporter of the Year. Leaders in propellor design and manufacturing technology, VEEM Limited also won the award for Best Marine Industry Export Performance (Large).
FinScan, creators of the IntelliCORE Smart Power System, were awarded the prize for Most Innovative Marine Industry Exported Product. The system, which revolutionises the way boat power systems are designed, installed and operated, impressed the judges to take out the top award.
Individuals were also recognised for their contribution to the marine export industry. Barry Jenkins, current consultant to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Yacht and Boat Korea, was awarded with the combined Marine Export and Superyacht Industry Champion Award for his contribution to the business.
M-Tech (Marine Technologies) and Sailfish Catamarans won the Best Marine Industry Export Performance Awards in the small and medium categories respectively.
Aqualuma Marine Lighting, manufacturers and exporters of a variety of underwater, interior and exterior LED marine lighting, took home the prize for Best Marine Industry Export Marketing Strategy for the second year running.
