A delegation of business executives from Gansu Province in China visited the Victorian Parliament earlier this week to discuss business and trade.
The 30-person delegation met with government and trade officials including the mayor of White Horse City, Denise Massoud and senior trade manager for Trade Victoria, Amelia Fyfield.
Delegation leader Mr Wang Junxu, the chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Gansu), signed a memorandum of understanding with Mark O’Sullivan, chief executive of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV).
The delegation discussed upcoming events in Gansu Province this year including the Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, the Silk Road(Dunhuang) International Culture Expo and the China (Gansu) International New Energy Expo.
Chief executive of the Australia International Trade Association, Michael Guo, said trade delegations of this kind are of tremendous value to the state.
